Nose (Rhinoplasty)

By reshaping the nose, rhinoplasty can balance your face, providing better harmony with your overall appearance. Since it is our most prominent feature, the nose can detract from our appearance when out of proportion with the rest of our facial features. If injury or mal-formation have blocked airways, rhinoplasty can also restore clear breathing.

The most important objective for rhinoplasty is that the final result fits the face, and appears natural. Unfortunately, we have all seen examples of too much rhinoplasty. Much can be accomplished when a conservative approach is taken. The tip of the nose can be reshaped, asymmetries corrected, nostrils reduced, and the bridge straightened or narrowed.

The nose is reshaped by changing the underlying support structures (cartilage & bone) so that the skin can drape on a smooth symmetrically shaped framework. As in all plastic surgery procedures, aesthetics and judgment of the surgeon are of utmost importance. Combined with technical expertise, pleasing results occur.
